...in order that a man may be happy, it is necessary that he should not only be capable of his work, but a good judge of his work.

Chang Yong, 23, was born in Shenyang China. When he was a schoolboy, Yong dreamed of a life full of travel. He read everything he could lay his hands on about Europe and the United States. Then he saw an advertisement in the local newspaper. One of the GTX recruitment agencies was looking for skilled welders and construction workers. He completed the necessary forms but was very disappointed to hear that his English was not good enough to work in Holland. He took some courses, studied hard and three months later he was on a plane to Amsterdam. His dream came true. GTX had taken care of all the procedural aspects and had offered him a contract for at least one year as a construction worker. Yong says: "I want to upgrade my skills to Western European standards in order to improve my chances when I return to China in 3 or 4 years' time. I like Holland; the people are nice and friendly. The work is good and I have made many friends."
